Lori is a stay at home mom to four children and a two-year-old lovable Golden Retriever. She is a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) and works with four awesome critique groups (that she couldn’t imagine being without). She also works with a group called Christian YA Writers who are also wonderful. If it weren’t for her grandmother, she may never have started writing. Grandma Ginny is a big part of why she writes – she always believed in Lori. When Lori was growing up, her grandma always had whatever it was, a poem or short story, published in the small town newspaper. Going into her sophomore year of high school, Lori lost a friend to a car accident due to a drunk driver. The writing spirit came alive and she felt the need to write a poem for him. Her grandma, of course, had it posted in the paper. A few days later, the mother of the friend called Lori asking to have the poem engraved on her son’s gravestone. That only ignited her love for writing–later getting several poems published in the Who’s Who. Her current unpubbed book, Bullied to Death, was a semi-finalist in the 2011 ACFW Genesis Contest. A short story of Lori’s placed in a Writer’s Digest Competition. She’s also written two children’s picture books. And she has several articles on health and fitness published all over the internet, including the Prevention Magazine Blog.
